Over the weekend of September 8th 2013, ASCENDANT’s own Kael Mboya was married to Nina Cartier in a small ceremony at Glessner House Museum in Chicago. Michael Lockett was a groomsman and helped the bride sing a song, Hang Around You by George Benson, to the groom.
During the reception, Donica Lynn added a special first dance for the couple and sang I Believe in You and Me. The performance brought everyone to tears.
