Illuminate: GREEN, the 2nd part of the 4 part concept album Illuminate, starts off with Promise featuring the group vocals of Kael Mboya, Michael Lockett and Donica Lynn. Its groove sets the mood and offers hope for what’s to come.
The 2nd track, More, takes the mood and the beat to another level with staccato horns and pulsating rhythms. It challenges us to answer: what more can we do?
I Ain’t Got No Time – Life is fragile and precious. This track, featuring Tina M. Howell, gives us a rocking anthem full of blazing guitar riffs to remind us that life’s most valuable element is time.
Gotta Get Up is another anthem about rising up to face life’s challenges. It inspires with a healthy chunk of funky rhythm guitar and a catchy groove.
Track 5 slows it down and gives us the beautiful ballad, Finally, which takes us back to the quiet storm songs of the 1980s. When you’ve longed for real love and it “finally” comes, there is… release. It features the vocal stylings of Michael Lockett and Swaylo.
